Welcome to Dr. Amon Mkoga Foundation !

Our mission is quite simple; "to enhance community to acquire better living standard"; that means we are committed to assist community to achieve opportunities and encourage developments for better future.

Our main task is to seek for community challenges in the various areas and use them as motivation to innovations which will be ending up to the solutions. We do this by joining hand with other partners in development to achieve the objectives by reaching out and enhance community to acquire better living standard.

With determination; together with other development partners, we stretch beyond everyday barriers to improve community life even by starting with one person and be considered as a step forward in development. We focus on the following are areas as priority in every community.

Access of Water
Education
Health Care
Access to safer water is essential for addressing poverty with the community. Most of rural areas in Tanzania, have limited access to clean water for domestic use, crop production and adequate sanitation. This problem has led to economic challenge due to the drudgery of carrying water over long distance, time taken and diseases accounted for over half of the diseases affecting the population.

Lack of school materials such as desks, text books and laboratories in some of rural schools in Tanzania highlighting challenges in education system. The demands of these materials in both primary and secondary schools keep on increasing year after year. For example, the demand of and of school desks in last year alone was about 4,988,843 but the government had managed to provide 3,260,750 thus creating a shortage of 1,728,093 desks.
The health status of the Tanzania population has continued to be a challenging especially in rural areas. The persistence of death at birth indicates the needs of efforts from different stakeholders to overcome this challenge. Nearly all pregnant women attend antenatal care but make too few visits and come too late in pregnancy. Deliveries in health facilities and deliveries with a skilled birth attendant are still on needs especially in rural areas.
